Hack, Slash & Burn

Hack, Slash & Burn is a completed medieval LitRPG fantasy trilogy following Calder, a tavern owner in the village of Berring. Previously a gifted swordsman sidelined by injury, Calder is given a second chance when a Dark Portal opens in his village, unleashing an orc apocalypse.

Granted a Weapon Stone by a Soldier of Light, Calder's leg is healed, and he gains superhuman strength, becoming an Avatar of Light. Empowered with classes, stats, levels, and spells, Calder and his party fight to protect their village, and eventually the world of Halanor, from the encroaching Darkness and the Dark Portals that spawn all manner of beasts.

The series follows Calder's journey as he ventures out of Berring to face the ever-increasing threat, striving to understand his new powers and protect his people from annihilation.
