Aether Gate Online

Aether Gate Online is a litRPG series following Adam, a young man seeking refuge in a VRMMORPG from a difficult real life. In the game, he chooses the class of Slayer and becomes Zander Darkblade, a powerful figure capable of vanquishing strong opponents.

Trapped within the immersive world of Aetheria, where death is permanent, Zander and his friends, including his best friend Max, embark on an adventure. They clear dungeons, acquire mighty familiars, and hone their combat skills, embracing a life of adventure. However, they soon discover that Aetheria is a world of secrets and danger, where a new threat starts to rise.

The series, from the beginning, deals with a hero having to adapt using their allies and abilities to survive in this strange VR world. As they progress in power, a war and ancient evil start to threaten the world - with only Zander possessing the means to push back, though he may or may not succeed.
